UNITED NATIONS - Racing against the clock, delegates are pouring over a draft document that seeks steps towards nuclear disarmament, bans nuclear testing and plans a controversial conference aimed at ridding the Middle East of weapons of mass destruction -- and Israel of its atomic arsenal.

It's a standard AIPAC statement. Except this one is blasting the United States and not the Arabs. Not a word criticizing Israel, not a word supporting the President or the US government. It's an incredible document. It belongs in the HALL OF CHUTZPAH.

The European Parliament on Wednesday supported the implementation of the Goldstone report and said it was "concerned" about "pressure placed on NGOs involved in the document's preparation." Jewish leaders said they were "deeply disappointed" and puzzled by the motion.

The voice of Father Jamal Khader coming over the waves of Radio Mawwal in Bethlehem was soothing and confident. A caller asked him to explain the words of Jesus, "to love your enemy", in light of the occupation and walls built by Israel and the injustice against Palestinians.
